Designed by the legendary six-time Open champion Harry Vardon, the course has stood the test of time and is celebrating its centenary in 2011.
The 6,119-yard par-70 course plays out over undulating ground and the first three holes especially are quite a climb and represent a tough start to the round.
Situated right above the Welsh coastal town, Aberystwyth affords some spectacular and unparalleled views across Cardigan Bay.
The climb is well worth it though as you are met by spectacular view after spectacular view from here on in.
The hilly layout will provide a stern but fair test of even the most experienced golfer’s ability but most visitors’ overriding memory will be of the sensational views and this is what has people coming back for more.
