Farmers Insurance Open betting tips: Who to back each-way
Ryan Palmer (55/1 on bet365) has hit some good form in his recent appearances and at there is value at this price.
The American had a top 10 and a top 12 finish in the PGA Tour’s Asian swing before taking the rest of 2019 off. He returned at the Tournament of Champions with a tied 17th which was spoiled by a Saturday 75.
A tied 4th at the Sony Open means he heads to Torrey Pines, a course where he’s had success in the past, in good form.
He was runner-up in 2018 and just outside the top 10 last year so there’s plenty to suggest he’ll be playing late on Sunday this time.
Joel Dahmen (125/1) is an interesting prospect at a big price. He finished inside the top 10 here last year and was tied 12th in his only 2020 outing so far.
The American has shown some inconsistency in results recently but I’m hoping the good memories of twelve months ago can inspire a strong performance.
He ranked 24th in driving accuracy last season and has hit more than 67% of fairways this year so this bodes well for him around this layout.
