All the Gear: Go retro with Cobra Puma Heritage collection

The Masters is over which means no more limited edition green headcovers. For 12 months at least.
Our annual Augusta fix signals the start of the golf season for many so we’ve had a raft of new releases to get the juices flowing again.
Here’s what you may have missed over the past week or so…
Cobra Puma Heritage collection
The Cobra Puma Heritage collection features a number of items which celebrate golf’s rich history and tradition.
It’s definitely a mix of the old and the new with the limited edition wood grain King F7 driver.
The brand teamed up with staff player Bryson DeChambeau to showcase the collection which also features brown Titantour Ignite Spikeless shoes, a throwback brown cap, white Puma chinos and stretch belt.

FootJoy expand spikeless range
After the launch of the signature Pro SL earlier this year, FootJoy have unveiled their full spikeless line-up for 2017.
Other models include the all-new Contour Casual, AWD XL Casual, Superlites XP and Versaluxe.

New Galvin Green windstopper weighs next to nothing
The virtually weightless Bow Shell Layer jacket features in Galvin Green’s 2017 Part One apparel range.
It aims to offer exceptional freedom of movement throughout the swing while protecting against windchill out on the course.

Motocaddy S7 Remote gets upgrade
Motocaddy say they have listened to consumer feedback on the original S7 Remote, released in 2015, and made a significant number of improvements for 2017.
There’s now a more compact, fully-rechargeable remote control that fits neatly into an integrated holder on the underside of a new soft-touch handle.
The handset can also be topped up during play thanks to a USB port that can also charge GPS and mobile devices.
The responsive S7 Remote boasts has a pressure control system that allows golfers to alter how much the trolley turns to the left or the right by varying the pressure applied to buttons on the handset.

Bushnell add easy slope mode to Tour V4
Rule changes to slope-adjusted laser rangefinders are making it easier for brands to make one model rather than two.
The Bushnell Tour V4, released last year, came in a slope and a non-slope adjusted model.
Now there’s the Tour V4 Shift which has a button on the side which slides up and down to turn the slope measurement on or off.
A slope-adjusted laser is legal for competition use providing there is an option to turn it off.
It still relies on the honesty of the user but so does every single shot that they hit on the course.
The V4 Shift is the same compact size as the original version and has the excellent Jolt technology – a vibration when you’ve locked onto the pin.

Callaway add customisation service for Mack Daddy wedges
Customised wedges are much more of a ‘thing’ than ever.
We’re inundated with pictures on social media featuring the latest tour player designs.
Callaway are now offering club golfers the chance to personalise their Mack Daddy 3 and Mack Daddy forged wedges with stampings in the colours of their choice.

In other news… anyone know who won the Masters?
We had a chuckle in the NCG office when the latest press releases from Nippon came through telling us the Masters champion was using their shafts.
We were told that, “on what would have been the 60th birthday of his idol and fellow countryman, the 37-year-old Spaniard used Nippon Shaft’s N.S.PRO MODUS3 Tour 130 X flex steel shafts in his irons and wedges.”
Nippon aren’t allowed the name the player.
