Powakaddy Compact C2

Powakaddy Compact C2 electric trolley launched

The innovative C2 could help Powakaddy fans finally purchase the car of their dreams, writes equipment editor James Savage

If you’ve long been a fan of Powakaddy trolleys but have longed for a bit more free space in your boot, the new Powakaddy Compact C2 should be right up your street.

With two simple folds the Powakaddy C2 goes down to a fraction of the size of most traditional electric trolleys making transportation and storage less of a headache.

One of the potential issues with a compact trolley is the number of folds which can ultimately add weight and inconvenience to the golfer.

But Powakaddy believe they have solved that problem with the introduction of the innovative  C2.

There’s also an integrated carry handle and at just 9.8kg it’ll free up space in your car while adding little weight.

Powakaddy insist the C2 doesn’t compromise on features with a full-colour widescreen display, USB charging port, compartments for balls, tees and pencils and an adjustable handle.

It also has the superb Plug n’ Play battery which just slots in without any wires.

“The Compact C2 is without doubt the easiest compact trolley to use that we’ve ever produced – the simple-two-fold system is unique to a model of this size,” said Powakaddy CEO David Catford.

This is a serious move from Powakaddy as they look to add something for everyone in their line-up for 2017.

With the FW3i, FW5i, FW7s and Touch trolleys there’s a trolley to suit every need and budget.

The only thing missing was a compact model and the C2 now fills that void.

So if the size of your current Powakaddy trolley has prevented you from getting that sporty little car you’ve always dreamed of (a real first world golfer problem if ever there was one) there’s now no excuse.

We’ll be putting the Powakaddy C2 to the test on the golf course (and in a very modest non-sporty car) very soon. Stay tuned for the full review.
