Under Armour launch ‘Spieth One’ shoes

Jordan Spieth has launched his first ever signature golf shoe – the Spieth One by Under Armour.

The two-time Major champion embarked on a four-city global tour to launch the shoe visiting Tokyo, Seoul, Los Angeles and Mexico City.

Under Arnour say the Spieth One has been engineered ‘Down to a Science’ – a nod to the concentrated level of detail by which the shoe was designed which mirrors the 23-year-old’s precise approach to his game.

Spieth worked in close collaboration with Under Armour to meticulously craft the shoe that features a number of technical design elements dictated by Jordan and his game.

We’ve seen Rory McIlroy work in a similar way with Nike to create the Lunar Control shoes.

Spieth one shoe launched

Technical Specifications of the Spieth One:

• Waterproof: The Spieth One has a breathable, waterproof upper which prevents water from entering the shoe, but allows perspiration to escape.
• Rotational Resistance Traction: The Spieth One features what Under Armour are calling Rotational Resistance Traction. They say this prevents the rotation of the foot during the swing from load up to impact.
• One-seam upper: The upper of the Spieth One is composed with a single seam, reducing layers and weight while enhancing the overall fit and feel.
• Dual durometer outsole: The outsole of the Spieth One has a softer forefoot for flexibility, paired with a firm heel for stability and support.
