Equipment: Padraig Harrington what’s in the bag | Portugal Masters
Three-time major winner Padraig Harrington landed his first European Tour win since 2008 with a one-shot victory at the Portugal Masters.
The Irishman, who largely plays Wilson clubs, carded a final round 65 to beat defending champion Andy Sullivan.
Harrington held his nerve on the 18th after missing the fairway, then the green before getting up and down for his par.
The two-time Open Champion put the new Wilson FG Tour V6 irons in the bag for this week along with a Wilson D200 hybrid, V4 utility iron, two FG Tour PMP wedges and an Infinite South Side putter.
Harrington had the TaylorMade Aeroburner driver and M2 fairway wood in the bag along with a Ping Eye 2 lob wedge.
The Titleist Pro V1x is Harringon’s ball of choice and he wears FootJoy DryJoys Tour shoes.
“I tried out the new FG Tour V6 irons on Monday and loved them. They were so good, I put them straight into the bag,” said Harrington.
“I tried to be really aggressive. I just tried to go after every pin I could and make birdies. I have a pretty good short game that was on form this week. No matter where I hit it, I felt like I could get it up and down.”
