Holly Calvert is a professional golfer who plays on the European Access Tour. Here she talks us through getting out of the rough with confidence.
Holly Calvert: A Bio
As a playing professional her best result was 2nd in the LETAS Coast Blanca Ladies Open. As an amateur she represented Lancashire Ladies 1st team and won numerous county trophies as a junior. In 2006 Holly finished third in the Grand Final of the Faldo Series at Celtic Manor, the same year Rory McIlroy won the boys.
After completing her A’ Levels, Holly got offered an International Golf Scholarship at Stirling University, alongside studying for BA in Sports Studies and Spanish. Holly went on to win for Stirling University, the 2nd flight stage of the prestigious Ion Jones Doherty Women’s matchplay championship in Florida in 2009 and competed on the Orange Tour in Florida.
After graduating from Stirling Holly went on to complete her Sports Degree at the University of Central Lancashire, focusing more on the coaching. In 2010, Holly completed an MSc in Performance Analysis of Sport, at Magderburg University in Germany and Valencia University in Spain.
Holly is a brand ambassador for Adidas golf.
