About Charley Hull

Britain’s Charley Hull is one of the rising stars of the women’s professional game.

At just 20 years old, Hull has already made great strides in her career and looks set for a long stint competing at the very top.

Hull started playing at Kettering Golf Club at a young age. As a teenager, between the ages of 13 and 16, she won several big tournaments, including the Leveret, Hampshire Rose, Woburn GC Ladies Club Championship, ID Jones/Doherty Championship Florida, Welsh Open Stroke play, English Stroke play and Harder Hall Invitational Florida.

She started to gain recognition on the big stage in 2012 when she made the cut at a number of pro tournaments, including the 2012 Kraft Nabisco Championship, Turkish Airlines Ladies Open, Irish Ladies Open and ISPS Handa Ladies British Masters.

Her excellent form saw her reach No 3 in the world amateur rankings in 2012.

She was a member of the victorious 2012 GB&I Curtis Cup team, beating the USA 10.5-9.5.

Having turned professional in 2013, her rookie season on the LET, Charley won the Rolex Rookie of the Year title and was the youngest Solheim Cup player in history, aged 17.

She would play a key part in the Solheim Cup, helping Europe to win the competition for the first time on US soil.

The teenage sensation won two of her three matches, including beating Paula Creamer 5&4 in a singles match.

In 2013, she played in 15 tournaments on the LET and posted 10 top-10 finishes, including five consecutive second places.

Hull captured her first professional title in 2014, just shy of her 18th birthday, by winning the Lalla Meyrem Cup in Morocco. She also recorded nine top-10 finishes that season.

She became the youngest winner of the 2014 Ladies European Tour ISPS HANDA Order of Merit title, just 12 months after being named Rookie of the Year.

Hull had another solid year in 2015. The highlight was making her second Solheim Cup appearance, which Europe lost narrowly.

The current world No 27 has again shown steady form in 2016, a tied-2nd finish at the ANA Inspiration representing her best ever finish at a Major.
