Golf Tips: Managing your putting distance control

Getting your putting distance correct to go close to the hole is tricky, especially for the longer putts.

In this, drill PGA Professional Ricky Gray explains how throwing a golf ball to the hole will help you get a feel of the power needed to get close to the hole when putting.

Having an idea of the pressure you use to throw the ball to the hole can really help you make your putts. The key is relaying the feeling of the pressure into your putting stroke by having a couple of practise putts, having the same feeling as throwing the golf ball.

This drill should help you judge your distance better and improve your score next time you play.
