Cobra King LTD driver review

New King Ltd driver launched by Cobra Golf

Cobra say the all-new King is the first 'zero gravity' driver

Cobra Golf have announced the return of ‘the King’ with an all-new King Ltd driver featuring aerospace technologies.

Cobra say the King Ltd is their first ˜zero gravity’ driver as the centre of gravity is on a straight line directly back from the face.

This is to promote better impact and a better launch angle to create more ball speed, less spin and more distance.

The ˜SpacePort’ design is something which Cobra worked on in partnership with CASIS – the Centre for the Advancement of Science in Space.

It includes a 16g aluminium weight which can be removed to allow golfers to view the internal driver technologies.

In total there is more than 28g of discretionary weight in and around the port perimeter to position the CG low and to the back of the clubhead.
We believe this utilises the best innovations and technology that Cobra Golf has ever seen" We knew if we were going to bring back the King it needed to be better, more advanced and really special, said Bob Philion, Cobra’s CEO.

It needed to be surpass its legacy.

The King is synonymous with the Cobra brand starting with our founder Tom Crow who introduced the product in the early 90s.

King Cobra has played an instrumental role in many tour wins including the original King Cobra as used by Greg Norman.

We could only bring back the King when we produced a product that was worthy of the name. We feel like we’ve done that.

We believe this utilises the best innovations and technology that Cobra Golf has ever seen.

We believe we have a driver truly fit for a King.

Other key technologies include an ultra-light carbon crown with materials used in aerospace.

There’s also a thin titanium face and the hosel structure has been lowered which also helps keep the CG low.
