Driver test results: Benross Max Speed 10 video review

Driver test results: Benross Max Speed 10 video review

Plenty of bang for your buck. Premium feel and performance for half the price

First impressions: Everything about the new 10 range from Benross has a premium feel. It seems Benross products just get better and better each year.

Adjustability, premium shaft options, great looks all bely the very reasonable price tag.

It’s fairly simple as to where each driver in the 10 range is aimed. Rip for the low handicapper, Hot for the mid and Max for the mid-to-higher handicappers.

The shape of the Max Speed 10 suits me as it looks forgiving at address with plenty of loft. The futuristic markings on the crown also add a welcome splash of colour.

What they say: Benross insist the Max Speed 10 is the ultimate playability driver.

With the centre of gravity stretched low and towards the rear, it helps golfers launch the ball high with spin and adds forgiveness.

A hosel adaptor allows the face angle to be adjusted from square to 1°, 2°, or 3° closed and 1° or 2° open, giving the opportunity to dial in a particular look or shot bias.

The Max Speed 10 comes with an ultra lightweight Aldila shaft which helps golfers generate maximum club speed at impact.

NCG Verdict: There’s no doubt this driver gives you plenty of bang for your buck. As the cheapest driver on test it still offers premium feel and performance.

I love the looks and it has a lovely sweet sound off the face.

For someone who doesn’t struggle to get the ball in the air, this driver was a tad too high and spiny for me but that could be exactly what some are looking for.

Don’t just take our word for it, if you’re looking for a new driver give Benross a try this year.
