Samuel L Jackson’s dream of designing a course in Ireland
Hollywood actor Samuel L. Jackson has claimed he has a lifelong ambition to open a golf course in Ireland.
The 66-year-old is a keen golfer and said he has had discussions with billionaire businessman and racehorse owner JP McManus about designing a course.
The Pulp Fiction actor said: “I’ve often thought about building my own course in Ireland. It’s this dream of mine, nestled somewhere in the lush hills of Limerick or Cork, or somewhere like that. How beautiful would that be?”
‘I’m pretty busy with musicals right now, but it’s in the back of my mind’
Jackson has previously teed off in McManus’ Pro Am tournament at Adare Manor but told the Irish Sun that he has played his best golf while in Ireland.
He added that he now picks movies, such as the new London-filmed Avengers sequel Age of Ultron, based on how close the shoot is to Ireland.
Jackson said: “They got it in England and Scotland but you know, Ireland is just a quick flight over there and I could be playing all weekend. That’s a huge plus for me. I can spend the whole day out there in that clean Irish air. It’s magical.”
