What our panellists said:
DC: Without doubt still my favourite links course – it has the best views and I use every single club every time I play this course.
AC: Hugely exciting that the long- awaited changes to the 9th (plus 10th and 11th) seem to be happening. Could be best three-hole stretch in golf.
CC: Great views and much more.
DJ: One of those courses you’d choose if you could only pick one for the rest of your life.
SA: Beautiful property, but very few holes of distinction.
LS: Being improved in grasses and design but needs more of Trump’s money to get to the very top.
DW: The best course in Scotland.
KE: Just beautiful. The turn with the lighthouse could be the finest place of any places anywhere. Certainly within golf.
Commentary: Surely the most spectacular place to play in our list.
