RG: The ultimate golf course for me – it has literally everything you could wish for. Its slightly remote and unassuming nature only adds to the mystique. My No 1.
MM: New holes for Open rota will strengthen an already great course.

Commentary: The course expected to host the 2019 Open Championship is rated Ireland’s third-best links by our panel. It is sometimes criticised for a rather pedestrian finish but the last two holes will be replaced by the time the Open returns in four years’ time.
