Video: Robots testing the new TaylorMade RSi Irons
The RSi Irons from TaylorMade have already been helping golfers across the globe improve their mis-hits since their release in November.
The company are now showcasing a video which uses robot testing to prove that when mis-hits happen, the RSi irons still enable golfers to attack the flag.
The robot testing shows an RSi 6-iron being hit to a green 175 yards away, from the centre, heel and toe with unbelievable results. Check it out in the video.
The new RSi iron family features Face Slot Technology, the next great innovation from TaylorMade that has pioneered the performance of the modern distance iron.
Two years ago, TaylorMade introduced “Speed Pockets” (a small slot in the sole of the iron to improve shots struck low on the face of the iron).
The company has taken everything it’s learned from the development of the Speed Pocket technology (originally introduced in its revolutionary RocketBallz fairway wood) and applied it to the iron face to activate the toe and heel areas to provide more uniform flexion across the face and protect ball speed on off-centre hits.
