East Midlands: Oundle youngster is Northamptonshire champion
Tom Forster wins grand final of county competition.
Oundle’s Tom Forster has won the grand final of the season-long Northamptonshire county boys championship.
The youngster fired a round of 73 at Northants County GC after defeating a field of other successful youngsters who had qualified by taking part in 12 Northamptonshire County Golf Partnership events across the county.
Wellingborough’s Ellie Darnell retained her girls’ title with a round of 83.
In the net competitions, Fergus Robinson from Oundle was best boy with 71 and Hattie Billson, from Northants County was the best girl with 76.
