Suspected burglars who had targeted golf clubs across the Wirral were arrested recently as part of a Merseyside Police operation.
Since April, 11 clubs had been hit, with clothing, equipment and tools all taken.
Superintendent Chris Markey, who led the task force, said: Today’s activity is all about going after those we believe to be committing burglary offences.
“It also sends a clear message to those individuals intent on committing this crime that there is no hiding place and that we will use all the tools available to us to track them down and bring them to justice.”
Seven of the 25 properties raided were connected to the golf thefts.
Markey added that one in five burglaries are down to insecurities, with would-be thieves always taking the easy option.
