Ian Poulter signs equipment deal with Titleist and FootJoy
Ian Poulter has announced he has signed an equipment deal with Titleist and FootJoy after ending his eight-year association with Cobra Puma Golf.
The Englishman, 38, revealed he was leaving Cobra Puma last week ahead of an “exciting new chapter” of his career.
Ryder Cup star Poulter who has his own clothing brand – IJP Design – will play using a full set of Titleist clubs after previously using Cobra metals and Irons.
He already had Titleist Vokey Wedges in the bag and plays the Titleist Pro V1x ball.
Making the announcement on Twitter, Poulter posted a picture with his bag featuring the new Titleist 915 driver, fairway and hybrid which were launched earlier this month.
He wrote: “Seriously pleased to announce I will be a full staff @Titleist @FootJoy staff player for 2015 season. So excited.”
It is believed Poulter will still wear his IJP design apparel while sporting Footjoy golf shoes.
Poulter now joins the likes of Adam Scott, Victor Dubuisson, Jordan Spieth, Jimmy Walker and Jason Dufner as part of Team Titleist.
