The 2014 Ryder Cup: Qualification lists and key dates

The 2014 Ryder Cup takes place on September 26-28 on the PGA Centenary Course at Gleneagles, Perthshire, Scotland.

European captain Paul McGinley and USA captain Tom Watson will both pick three players to join the nine who have qualified automatically.

The nine European players who occupy the qualification places at the conclusion of the Italian Open on August 31 will make McGinley’s team. He will make his three captain’s picks after that date.

The leading four members on the Ryder Cup European Points List will make the team along with the leading five members on the Ryder Cup World Points List who have not qualified through the European Points list.

Nine players have already qualified for the USA team – automatic qualification ended with the conclusion of the PGA Championship.

Both captains will name their three wildcard picks on September 2.
