Garmin reports success at Kelly Holmes golf day
Garmin is delighted to announce that the Dame Kelly Holmes Trust raised an incredible £35,000 at the former athlete’s charity golf day at Brocket Hall, Hertfordshire.
Ex Olympians and other world class sports stars took to the course in a bid to raise vital funds for the Dame Kelly Holmes Trust, which aims to get lives on track by using athletes to engage, enable and empower disadvantaged young people.
Greg Vulinovic, UK product manager at Garmin, said: “On behalf of Garmin I want to express my delight that the Dame Kelly Holmes Trust was able to raise so much money on the day.
“Garmin is thrilled to be associated with the charity and will continue to support the cause in future.”
Dame Kelly Holmes said: “What a fantastic day we had at my charity’s Golf Day.
“We couldn’t have had better weather, and we were so lucky to be on the stunning course at Brocket Hall in Hertfordshire.
“It meant so much to me and my charity that so many partners and supporters, and of course all the celebrity guests, were able to join us.”
The event gave Garmin the opportunity to showcase its range of golf gadgets, including the Approach G8 handheld device and the Approach S4 GPS watch.
The devices were handed out prior to the start of the day’s play, giving the guests the chance to try out all their innovative features as they took to the course.
Dame Kelly Holmes continued: “By taking part, everyone made a contribution to getting more lives on track, and I can’t thank you enough.”
