The Masters: Nicklaus, Palmer and Player tee us off

The 78th Masters tournament gets underway as Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer and Gary Player tee off from the first.

The wait is finally over, the 2014 Masters tournament is underway.

After the big three of Nicklaus, Palmer and Player kept up the tradition off hitting the opening tee shots, Stewart Cink and Tim Clark both split the fairway with their drivers in the first pairing of the day.

Many people will have their eyes on defending champion Adam Scott who tees off with English Amateur Matt Fitzpatrick and US PGA winner Jason Dufner at 3.41pm.

A couple late groups which will be well worth a follow include Jason Day, Dustin Johnson and Henrik Stenson at 6.04pm – Bubba Watson, Luke Donald and Sergio Garcia 10 minutes later, before Phil Mickelson, Ernie Els and Justin Rose tee off at 6.48pm.
