Danish brand Ecco announced the launch of a new lightweight golfing shoe at the 2013 PGA Show in Orlando.
At less than ten ounces, the Ecco Biom Zero is the lightest shoe the company has ever produced, an innovation to rival the Ecco Tour Hybrid, the formally-styled spikeless shoe also new this month.
A limited-edition version will be available from the start of February for just under £140.
The shoe is available in two colours and offers exceptional comfort and flexibility.
“Our brand has been heralded for redefining comfort and now we’re taking that to the next level,” says Michael Waack, head of global golf at Ecco.
“We named Biom Zero after the zero heel drop, but also because it’s as close as you can get to a golf shoe that feels like wearing nothing and playing barefoot.”
“Our brand has been heralded for redefining comfort and now we’re taking that to the next level,” Michael Waack, head of global golf at Ecco. That effect is a result of Ecco’s patented Street outsole which offers full-length foot support and natural motion thanks to its dynamic traction system.
Additional features:
- Sits closer to the ground than any other Ecco product
- Patented Biom technology promotes natural foot position
- Stain-resistant and easy-to-clean leather
- Supple leather lining that maintains shape and water resistance
Ecco shoes are the choice of Tour stars Graeme McDowell, Thomas Bjorn and Fred Couples.
