NCG TESTS: TaylorMade RBZ fairway wood
WHAT WE THOUGHT
“The standard head is a bit on the big side but it is undoubtedly quick off the face and very forgiving. The distance on offer is exceptional on both models. This was the only head that delivered 150mph of ball speed for any of us. The Tour head is nice and shallow so getting a normal head 3 for off the tee and a tour 5 for off the deck would be a really good idea. The shaft is quite weak in the normal version.” JoW
“Went as far as anything for me. The head is very big in the 3 wood and I wouldn’t fancy it out of the thick stuff. Really good speed, though – a great driving club.” JaW
“Very effective off the tee – it is very powerful. There’s a lot in it. Very nice weight and the 3-wood is nearly 20 yards longer than anything else I’ve used.” MT
