TaylorMade release innovative R11S driver
A new-and-improved version of the year’s most popular driver is set to be released in February.
The R11S replaces TaylorMade’s innovative R11 driver and betters it by offering more adjustability, distance, and forgiveness.
The club keeps its striking white crown but has been enlarged to the limit of the rules (from 440 to 460cc) and aerodynamically engineered for more swing speed without additional effort.
The Flight Control Technology sleeve (FCT) and Adjustable Sole Plate (ASP) remain, too, but have been improved to offer more adjustability.
The FCT now gives you eight loft and lie combinations that affect spin and launch, while the ASP has two additional settings, allowing users to open and close the face angle by up to 6°.
The R11S replaces TaylorMade’s innovative R11 driver and betters it by offering more adjustability, distance, and forgiveness. Combined with Moveable Weight Technology (MWT), which lets you adjust the head’s centre of gravity to promote draw or fade bias, the club offers 80 different configurations. This makes it the most adjustable driver ever made and allows you to fine-tune your flight in a fitting, or simply avoid hitting your bad shot.
“The R11S is a golfer’s dream come true; it’s the realisation of every ounce of innovation, adjustability, and performance we could package in a bigger, more aerodynamic, white clubhead,” said Sean Toulon, TaylorMade’s Executive Vice President.
“It would have been easy for our product creation team to rest on the laurels of the original R11 driver, the most successful product we’ve ever created. Instead, we’re delivering golfers yet another significant advancement in adjustability and performance.”
