Find the best ball position

Set up correctly whatever the club

It's not the same for all..

Ball position is intrinsically linked to how far apart your feet are. If you hit the same spot with every club you need to vary your stance width more than somebody who hits in different places. Hitting the the ball from a constant position requires a wide stance with woods, but you are likely to strike the ball best off a much narrower stance with lofted irons – by up to a foot.  Somebody who, like me, favours moving the ball nearer to mid stance as the shafts get shorter will only need to narrow their stance about 6” from driver to wedge.
