Preview of 2012: Team Europe
No.7: Goodbye to Jimenez et al, hello Quiros and Dyson?
7 How much will the European Ryder Cup team have changed?
THE spine of the team – Westwood, McIlroy, Kaymer, Poulter and Donald (a 2010 pick) looks assured and Graeme McDowell will surely be back, if only as one of Olazabal’s additions.
But then things become a little blurred. Fisher, Jimenez, Hanson, Harrington and Edoardo Molinari have all failed to win since while Francesco Molinari’s last victory came a month after Wales.
Alvaro Quiros and Simon Dyson would provide plenty of spark while we should be able to welcome back one of our favourite, and most successful, Ryder Cuppers in Sergio Garcia.
