Preview of 2012: Team USA
No.8: Goodbye Cink and co, hello Watney and Webb?
8 How much will the American Ryder Cup team have changed?
EIGHT members of the 2010 side made it to Melbourne for the Presidents Cup victory with Jeff ‘Boom Baby’ Overton, Zach Johnson, Stewart Cink and Rickie Fowler making way for Webb Simpson, Nick Watney, David Toms and Bill Haas.
Fowler, still without a PGA Tour win, will surely make his home debut, his run of three successive birdies to secure a half was as impressive as anything in 2010, while PGA champion Keegan Bradley already has a healthy lead in the standings.
A Quiros versus Gary Woodland singles clash could well be the highlight of the year.
