10 Will current equipment trends gain traction?
WHEN TaylorMade released their white-headed R11 driver and Ecco’s spikeless Street shoe hit the spotlight at the Masters, both were deemed fads that wouldn’t last. Now both are common sightings on courses across the UK.
TaylorMade have just launched a new family of white woods (two million units were sold worldwide in 2011) and no fewer than three other major manufacturers have launched their own versions.
Shoes for both on and off-course use are also starting to take off – almost every major shoe maker has now launched a spikeless model.
