Coltart's new horizons

After retiring, Andrew Coltart combines media work with golf schools
Andrew Coltart has called time on life as a tour pro, but that decision certainly doesn't mean the Scotsman is now at a loose end.

The 1999 Ryder Cup player retired from tournament play after a modest season on the Challenge Tour, having lost his main tour card at the end of 2010.

So, after 491 starts spread over two decades, the two-time European Tour champion - and winner of the Dunhill Cup alongside Colin Montgomerie and Sam Torrance – is now concentrating on other activities.

He is now a regular face on Sky Sports' golf programmes as well as being a familiar voice on BBC Radio 5Live's coverage of the sport.

But he is also a partner in a golf school business with European Tour Coach Gary Nicol. Their aim with the assistance and input of the most experienced team of top players and coaches in the UK, is to provide the finest coaching experiences – no matter what your handicap.

TPEGS – Tour Pro Experience Golf Schools – offer a range of coaching experiences, ranging from three day, two night retreat to individual and group sessions.
TPEGS Golf Schools are not 'one size fits all'. They believe everyone who plays golf is an individual and should be coached as an individual.
The team, led by Coltart and Nicol, analyse your game in an on-course situation and then develop a personalised programme to suit your needs and requirements.

Using state of the art HD high speed video capture (300 frames per second), super slow motion playback and V1PRO analysis software, Nicol is armed with the technology and experience to help you play golf better.

So at the end of a two-day Retreat experience, you receive all of your personalised V1 video lessons delivered to your email and smartphone, so they are available whenever you want to refer to them.

There is also the chance to play 18 holes with Coltart, a memorable experience in itself because not only are you playing alongside a Ryder Cup player, you are also playing on one of the finest links in Britain.

The TPEGS sessions are held at the swish Archerfield club near Edinburgh, home to the Fidra and Dirleton – both are outstanding modern courses and are a reason in themselves to engage in a TPEGS experience.

You also stay on site, in a beautiful Member's Lodges and breakfast and lunch in the elegant Archerfield clubhouse.

There are also a number of themed experiences, whereby the coaching and playing during the day gives way to watching the Masters, US Open or Champions League action in the evening.
