Retro new Cleveland driver
The Classic promises traditional looks with modern performance...
Cleveland have released a driver that combines old-school cosmetics with cutting-edge technology.
The Classic features a unique and striking look - it is designed to resemble a persimmon wood of old, with a chestnut-brown crown and a gold sole and face insert - as well as impressive lightweight technology designed to offer players of all levels increased club speed for more distance.
Like their Launcher Ultralite range, the Classic family features three different models - the 270, 290 and 310.
The numbers correspond to the weight in grammes and the club gets slightly less forgiving and more compact as it becomes heavier. The 310 has a 440cc head designed for strong players while the 270 offers maximum forgiveness at 460cc.
Cleveland achieve this weight by using extremely light components - a Miyazaki shaft and a specially-made, 25-gramme Golf Pride grip.
All three models have an exceptionally large, deep face for maximum forgiveness and good launch conditions, while a retro-looking headcover completes the package.
