Ecco unveil 2012 range
Danish shoe specialists Ecco have launched a new range of advanced footwear...
Ecco are renowned for creating technologically-advanced shoes that offer the ultimate in performance and comfort.
Their 2012 is no different.
Headlining the new range, which is expected to hit shops in Spring, is the Biom Hybrid - a spikeless blend of the brand's famous Golf Street and Biom shoe.
The Hybrid features Ecco's new Natural Motion technology, which mirrors the bones in your foot and uses the body's natural system to absorb impact, as well as Yak-leather uppers, which, Ecco say, are three times stronger than other leathers while, at the same time, being breathable, soft and smooth.
Other features include a flexible midsole for comfort and a triple-component insole unit that cushions the foot.
“Golf Street literally created the hybrid category, and it all began with the simple notion that a golf shoe can be much more than a golf shoe,” said Michael Waack, Ecco's head of golf.
“That philosophy along with our foot-first approach to shoemaking and decades of research has now led to the phenomenal Biom Hybrid.”
The shoe is designed to mirror the bones in your feet and use your body's natural system to absorb impact.
The Golf Street and original Biom shoe have both been updated for the new year, too.
The spikeless Street is now available in two new styles. One fashion-forward model combines performance textiles with soft leather, while the other is a luxury version crafted from camel leather.
The Biom shoe is the result of decades of Ecco research into the foot and comes in several new colours, different leathers and even in Gore-Tex - an expensive yet highly effective waterproof fabric.
The final addition to the new line is the Cool III, which has all-new upper patterns, and an extremely breathable inner mesh as well as a highly-stable midsole.
