The European Seniors Tour’s all time leading money winner Carl Mason will be aiming for a hat-trick of titles when he returns to Woburn Golf Course for the Travis Perkins plc Senior Masters from August 29- 31, and by doing so would become the first Seniors Tour player in history to achieve this feat.
Mason will head a highly competitive field comprising some of the Seniors Tour’s leading players including Mark James and Delroy Cambridge who will both be battling it out on the Dukes Course.
The Englishman retained the trophy last year after defeating Italy’s Costantino Rocca in a sudden-death play-off after the pair tied on six under par and has fond memories of his past outings on the Dukes course at Woburn.
I always enjoy playing at Woburn" he said. "It’s one of the country’s great courses. It’s beautiful, and it helps that I’ve got a good record there. The Senior Masters is always a tournament I look forward to anyway, and I guess this year there’s an added incentive for me to win the tournament three times running." Last year's triumph saw Mason overtake his countryman Tommy Horton as the richest golfer in European Seniors Tour history with career earnings of over €1,500,000.
NCG has partnered up with the European Tour, Travis Perkins PLC and Woburn Golf Club to offer one lucky reader the brilliant prize of a fourball on the Dukes Course.
