TRAVEL: Humber Valley
THE adjective ‘spectacular’ may be an overused one, but where Humber Valley is concerned it doesn’t even begin to describe the beauty of this dramatic landscape.
This luxury resort in western Newfoundland, Canada has made its home among the mountains, rivers, lakes and forests to offer guests a unique experience, whether taking to the slopes for some alpine and cross-country skiing in the winter or playing golf on the award-winning course designed by Doug Carrick in the summer.
And with Your Place Abroad, you can take part in a fantastic week of competition on the River Course, relax in one of the luxurious chalets or apartments and have a chance to see some of the property that you could soon be calling a second home.
From September 4 to 11, and for just £999 per person, you can play unlimited golf on the River Course, which is flanked by Deer Lake and Humber River, including four days of pairs competition in greensomes, foursomes, betterball and scramble formats.
You’ll stay in luxury accommodation, be greeted with a welcome bonfire party on the beach and a gala dinner to dish out the prizes and round off a fantastic week. Also included are return flights from Gatwick with all taxes, club carriage and transfers included.
Once you have experienced a week here, you’ll probably want to return time and again, and with a flight time of just five-and-a-half hours, there are few reasons not to.
