NEWS: Superb Curtis Cup offer

The highly anticipated Curtis Cup is fast approaching, and to coincide with this special event, the Ladies' Golf Union are offering a huge cut back on season tickets for the event which gets under way on May 30.

It will only cost £30 for a full four-day entry into this fantastic event, and not only do you get to grace the flanks of the Old Course at St Andrews for a long weekend, you also get a promotional discount on one of Fife's most promising rounds at the Dukes.

The Curtis Cup dates back to 1932 and in 76 years of existence, rivals from either side of the Atlantic have been locking horns to ultimately possess this illustrious trophy.

The LGU’s Director of Championships Susan Simpson reiterated the popularity of the event and urged anyone interested in taking up the offer to do so as soon as possible.

"Interest in this historical event is high, and I advise all interested parties to purchase tickets as soon as you can," Simpson said.

The Americans are currently in the lead with 25 victories under their belts, but since 1984, the five events that have taken place have been much closer, and it is because of this that such a high influx of spectators are expected.
