PREVIEW: Verizon Heritage
Forget the wide, sweeping fairways of Augusta National, this week the PGA Tour moves to the waste areas and claustrophobic driving of Harbour Town Golf Links for the Verizon Heritage.
The majority of this week's field will arrive from various parts of the United States while 37, of which 19 made the cut, will make the short trip from the opening Major of the year where Trevor Immelman prevailed in such impressive fashion.
Jim Furyk, Justin Rose and Ernie Els will be the most fancied of those and the American, runner-up here in 2005 and 2006, is prepared for a completely different test.
"It's more of a challenge to adjust than people might think. You go from Augusta National, which is such a big place, a lot of area, big greens, big bunkers to a golf course with small greens, narrow fairways. To change your game from Augusta to Hilton Head, it's not an easy thing to do. The focus is totally different."

It will be interesting to note what sort of hangover the Masters has on Rose's performance though the omens look fairly promising for those whe teed it up last week. Until two years ago only Bob Tway in 1995 had triumphed here without playing at Augusta the previous week. That run came to an end when Aaron Baddeley won in 2006 and Boo Weekley (pictured) made it three 12 months ago.
Weekley's victory came in some style as he chipped in for par at the last two holes to edge out Els and the maverick is determined to enjoy his title defence.
"It's going to be a fun week, no matter what happens. This week at Augusta, man, the golf was hard. But I'm ready. This golf course will get you ready for anything."
Davis Love III is the real form horse here with five wins, the first coming in 1987, the last coming in 2003, and he should be fresh after missing Augusta for the first time since 1990.
