Machrihanish Dunes
In this episode, courses expert (and NCG editor) Dan Murphy, who has played more tracks than most of us have had hot dinners, is discussing his summer trip to Machrihanish Dunes.
This links course is just a decade old. It’s found in the south-west of Scotland, on the remote Kintyre Peninsula, which was immortalized in song by the No 1 Wings hit, Mull of Kintyre.
The chat
Professional golfist (and publisher) Tom Irwin is on hand to ask the questions.
Apart from discussing the course, Tom and Dan look at how best to tackle the long journey, where to stay and where else to play when in the area.
They also look at value for money and offer some tips on how to make the most of your visit.
Finally, at the end of the episode, Dan is on the end of one of Tom’s infamous quizzes. Does he have the answers this time?
