Equipment: New Under Armour winter golf gear unveiled

The latest range of Under Armour winter golf gear is further proof that the brand are going from strength to strength in the sport with a range of new styles and technologies.

A marker was put down last year with the launch of their Storm Gore-Tex waterproof suit which among the most impressive in our 2015 waterproofs test.

The 2016/17 Under Armour winter golf gear falls into various categories with each having specific performance characteristics to protect you from the elements.

Their Storm products, as worn by staff players Jordan Spieth and Matt Fitzpatrick, feature a tiered system of water and wind protection that keeps you dry in any wet weather situation.

UA Storm 1 garments are water-resistant, UA Storm 2 items are highly water-resistant and windproof while for extreme conditions you’re after UA Storm 3 products which are waterproof and windproof.

There are a range of Gore-Tex products in the new Under Armour winter golf gear range which are made of the toughest fabrics to guarantee performance even after serious wear and tear.

In their CGI products, Under Armour use something called ColdGear Infrared lining where a soft, thermo-conductive coating absorbs and retains body heat for lasting warmth.

If your after a lightweight layer to throw on when the temperature drops, the ColdGear technology in the Under Armour winter golf gear eliminates the need to wear heavy, bulky gear in cold weather.
