Royal Troon – 12th hole, The Fox (430 yards, par 4)
The tees for the hole have been reconfigured with the championship enlarged.
The only other change has been the improvement of the grasses in the swale to the left of the green to allow it to be tightly mown.

At one time a wooded area inhabited by a number of foxes.

Architect Martin Ebert explains..
“Not much happened here other than some mowing more tightly on the left-hand swale. A slight dog-leg to the right, the drive must funnel into a narrow fairway while the tiered green falls off to the left and has a bunker on the right.”
