Tip: What to do when playing out of an old divot
You hit a fantastic drive and then find your ball in a divot
We’ve got a few little tips to help you play from a divot.

Stance
- The ball should be slightly further back in your stance – to help us get that little bit more air as the low-point of our swing will be slightly altered due to the slightly deeper lie of the ball
- With your weight favouring your left side (right for left-handed players) you are adjusting for having the ball in a slightly different position
Swing
- Due to the changes we have made to our stance, the swing will be slightly steeper and allow us to increase the size of the divot
Give this a go the next time you happen to find yourself in this sticky situation.
