Instruction: Improve ball-striking without changing your swing

Sam Connor has a simple practice ground tip to help you improve those strikes

PGA EuroPro Tour winner Sam Connor has some simple advice to help us all become better ball strikers without having to drastically change our golf swings.

It almost sounds too good to be true.

Using a simple visualisation trick – Sam explains that we are all able to pick a target that we would like to be hitting at – then stand behind the ball and line-up our club with our envisioned target line.

We then ‘burn a line/target-line’ into the world and use this as the basis for our shots.

This focusses our mind on the target and frees us from technical thought – allowing us to strike the ball cleaner and purer without worrying about any of the technical aspects of our swing.

Give this a try when you are next out on the practice ground and let us know if it helped.
