WITB: Alex Noren | Nordea Masters
Alex Noren strolled to his first win in two years in his home nation after an injury stricken 12 months forced the 32-year old to watch previous iterations of the tournament from the sidelines.
How Alex Noren strolled to his first win in 2 years
The Swede relied heavily on his Big Bertha driver, with winds making the course a tremendous test for the whole field: “It was probably the toughest weekend in terms of wind I’ve ever felt. When you’re in the lead you can think a lot, and it was very tough,” commented Noren.
“I hit my Big Bertha driver really well and I’ve set it up pretty much upright which helps in the wind here – it’s easy to fade it but when I can draw it I’m definitely not as nervous playing in this kind of wind, so that made a big difference mentally today.”
