WITB: Alex Noren | Nordea Masters

First win for the Swede since lifting the very same trophy in 2013

Alex Noren strolled to his first win in two years in his home nation after an injury stricken 12 months forced the 32-year old to watch previous iterations of the tournament from the sidelines.

How Alex Noren strolled to his first win in 2 years

The Swede relied heavily on his Big Bertha driver, with winds making the course a tremendous test for the whole field: It was probably the toughest weekend in terms of wind I’ve ever felt. When you’re in the lead you can think a lot, and it was very tough,” commented Noren.

“I hit my Big Bertha driver really well and I’ve set it up pretty much upright which helps in the wind here – it’s easy to fade it but when I can draw it I’m definitely not as nervous playing in this kind of wind, so that made a big difference mentally today.”
