Ping introduce new Rhapsody range for ladies

Ping have launched the Rhapsody range for lady golfers which aim to maximise speed and distance from lower swing speeds.

The Rhapsody range from Ping range includes a new driver with Turbulator technology, fairway wood which are easier to launch from the turf and a set of high launching hybrids and forgiving irons.

There are also three new putters in the Rhapsody range – the Craz-e, Anser 2 and B60.

The driver has a lighter total system weight with a highly forgiving Ti 6-4, 460cc head, optimised for women, helping to maximize speed and distance from slower swing speeds.

The 12º pearl-colored crown has Turbulator Technology to reduce aerodynamic drag, leading to increased clubhead speed and ball velocity for added distance. Loft is adjustable +/- 1º to fine-tune trajectory.

Heel weighting makes it easier to square the face and deliver longer, straighter drives. An attractive new Tropic colour theme and a stylised Ping women’s logo ensure visual continuity across the Rhapsody family.

Features and benefits

12º; 5 loft settings: std, +0.6º, +1º, -0.6º, -1º
Crown turbulators reduce aerodynamic drag to increase clubhead speed and ball velocity for adding distance.
Longer, more forgiving, higher launching (cg lower & further back)
Promotes square impact for straighter, longer drives
ULT 220 graphite shafts: light (52g) or ultra lite (40g)
Lightweight compound reduces grip weight 8 grams
Lighter grip with same swingweight = lighter total system weight than serene

RHAPSODY WOMEN’S FAIRWAY WOOD

The high-MOI Rhapsody fairway wood launches the ball easily from the tee or the turf for greater distance and accuracy. Its CG is low and back and positioned slightly toward the heel to help turn the toe over and square the face at impact for longer, straighter results.

A thin, uniform-thickness face increases ball speed to add distance. The overall system weight is lighter than Serene to generate clubhead speed.

Features and benefits

3w (18º), 5w (22º), 7w (26º)
More forgiveness across both axes
Thinner, uniform-thickness face for faster ball speeds
Higher launching
Durable 17-4 stainless steel
ULT 220 graphite shafts: lite (52g) or ultra lite (40g)
Lightweight compound reduces grip weight 8 grams
Lighter grip with same swingweight = lighter total weight

RHAPSODY WOMEN’S HYBRID/IRON SET

This blended set combines easy-to-hit hybrids and high-launching, highly forgiving perimeter-weighted irons to optimize distance control and gapping throughout the set.

Both the irons and hybrids offer lighter overall system weights, making it easier to help generate clubhead speed, ball velocity and distance from slower swing speeds.

IRONS
5-pw, uw (52º), sw (58º)
Lighter overall system mass (10g lighter than Serene); easier to square face, hit straighter
Easy to hit, forgiving
Large elastomer badge for extremely soft feel on mis-hits
Progressive length/loft for optimised distance and gapping
ULT 220 graphite shafts: lite (55g) or ultra lite (48g)
Matching “tropic”-coloured ferrule

HYBRIDS

4 (22º), 5 (26º), 6 (30º)
Lighter overall system mass; easier to square face, hit straighter
More forgiveness across both axes
Thinner, uniform-thickness face for faster ball speeds
Higher launching
Large, confidence-inspiring profile
Durable 17-4 stainless steel
ULT 220 graphite shafts: lite (61g) and ultra lite (53g)
Lightweight compound reduces grip weight 8 grams
Lighter grip with same swingweight = lighter total weight
Pearl-colored crown, attractive “tropic” color theme with matching ferrule.
