What our panellists said:

CH: Magical course – so worth the trip – especially in May when the gorse is out.

MM: I love the split level of the holes.

LS: No 2 in GB&I. Routinely in immaculate condition with the wiry fine grasses giving a true ‘running game’ experience.

KE: Links golf at the highest and purest level. Great routing.

CC: Let down a little by an average finishing stretch.

DJ: Classic links – one of the best walks in golf.

Commentary: One of the best-loved links on our list. Criticising Dornoch is almost sacrilegious. Perhaps only at County Down are you given more choices around the greens.
