Spanish property to form part of the 2014 Troon Cup series

Troon golf course management has expanded its offering for amateur golfers with a series of world-class golf events at three of its exclusive properties. 

Presented by the industry-specialists, The Troon Cup series includes all-encompassing packages to enable teams of four to sample its exemplary golf courses, award-winning service, and hospitality. 

Forming part of the 2014 Troon Cup series are events at Open Championship venue, Turnberry Resort, Scotland and European Tour School host venue, Las Colinas Golf & Country Club, Spain, with 2014 marking the introduction of European Tour venue, La Reserva de Sotogrande Golf Club on the rota for the first time. 

The inaugural event for the Spanish property, reaffirms its position as a leading golf facility, with Troon taking its golf experience to an all-new level. 

The 18-hole facility, designed by world-renowned golf course architect, Cabell B. Robinson, is situated on the exclusive Sotogrande estate on the Andalucían coast. 

Having recently paid host to the world’s best golfers on the European Tour for the NH Collection Open, the property now looks forward to welcoming golfers for the 2014 Sotogrande Cup, presented by Troon. 
We are sure the Sotogrande Cup will be a fantastic addition to the series and form an integral part of the Troon Cup for years to come The event, which runs from July 6-9, includes rounds over the generous fairways and variety of tee options of La Reserva, in addition to a round at the 1997 Ryder Cup host venue, Valderrama Golf Club.

The first of the 2014 events presented by Troon took place recently at Turnberry Resort, Scotland, with players following in the footsteps of legends at the Open venue, which has famously witnessed Tom Watson, Greg Norman, Nick Price and Stewart Cink all lift the Claret Jug. 

Completing the series presented by Troon is the Copa Las Colinas, which takes place September 21-24, over the Cabell B. Robinson designed, Las Colinas Golf & Country Club.
