Nike reveal Method MOD puttersOctober 9, 2013 Golf Tips
This new putter family is Nike's interpretation of a classic
5 Nike say their latest putter combines innovation with tradition to offer timeless shapes and unbeatable performance.
The Method MOD family again utilises the brand’s famous polymetal groove technology to lift the ball at impact and get it rolling quicker with less chance of skidding and sliding.
It is milled for consistency and feel, and comes in four shapes that are all designed with low, deep centres of gravity for a better roll.
“We were able to take a range of classic designs and make them perform like modern putters,” said Nike’s David Franklin.
“It’s Nike’s interpretation on classic, familiar shapes.”
The different models are separated by their weighting and the way the toe hangs as a result.
The MOD 00 is face balanced, while the MOD 90 has 90˚ of toe-hang. The MOD 30 and MOD 60 fit in-between.
Expect to see them in pro shops at the start of November and to pay £180.
