Lady Golfer reviews: Yonex Ezone SD fairway wood
Madeleine Winnett, handicap: 4
What a great club! In fairness, it’s not not my first choice of colour – but at least it’s not girly pink! – and it is too flexible for me. But, I still really liked it! Aesthetically, the head shape is very attractive. At 18° this is more lofted than my own 3 wood, but it made it very easy to hit.
The strike is effortless and I found it extremely forgiving. A pleasure to hit!
Mandy Ambert, handicap: 13
I liked this club down to the reflective head cover! It’s light in weight, well balanced and on contact has a generous sweet spot.
I felt that even when not struck well the outcome was good. With an 18˚ club face the trajectory is higher than my own 3 wood.
Distance wise, no real improvement but I felt confident and that’s what it’s all about.
Would I buy one? Yes.
Brenda Chatterjee, handicap: 35
Surprisingly, I found this club easy to handle. It just felt comfortable and I made regular contact with the ball, distance varied as one would expect, as my handicap is high.
It’s an attractive club to look at and felt well balanced even though the head felt a tad weighty. I thought that it helped in some way to improve my consistency and accuracy in the direction I intended the ball to travel.
Overall a resounding ‘Yes’.
