Danish Ryder Cup star Thomas Bjorn is among 10 players to have been awarded an Open Championship exemption based on high standings in the Race to Dubai and FedEx Cup.
The 42-year-old has publicly stated his desire to qualify for the event, in which he hopes to make up for his disappointment at Sandwich 10 years ago.
A further five players from both the European and PGA Tours are now set to play at Muirfield in the 142nd Open Championship on July 18.
Richard Sterne, Brett Rumford, Mikko Ilonen, and Marc Warren make up the rest of the European Tour contingent, while Billy Horschel, Boo Weekley, Russell Henley, Jimmy Walker and Harris English receive the remaining exemptions.
