Golf equipment: Callaway launch FT Optiforce fairway woodsJuly 1, 2013 Golf Equipment
This new offering from Callaway combines aerodynamics with light weight to bolster distance
Fresh off the introduction of their new FT Optiforce driver, Callaway have launched a new line of fairway woods under the same name.
Designed with the same idea in mind – more distance through aerodynamics and light components – they feature carpenter steel heads that are both strong and powerful.
The weighting has been optimised for a high launch and a spin rate that maximises carry. Therefore they are, on paper at least, extremely useful both off the tee and fairway.
Progressive Roll Radius technology increases launch angle further and also improves forgiveness on strikes out of the bottom of the club.
Technology in a nutshell
- Speed Optimised Technology for more distance
- Aerodynamic head shape reduces drag
- Carpenter steel construction improves speed
- Progressive Roll Radius increases launch angle as loft goes up
