The Masters: Three who could win their first Major
Adam Scott
The Australian made his Augusta debut in 2002 when he posted the first of three top-10 finishes and this will be his 12th straight Masters.
Despite dipping in and out of form over the years he has always fared pretty well, particularly compared to the other Majors, and this is where, in 2011, he signalled his return.
Then he had rounds of 67-67 over the weekend to finish at -12 but Charl Schwartzel’s four-birdie climax meant Scott would come up two shots shy.

Steve Stricker
Stricker has long been considered one of the best players yet to win a Major. This year the 46-year-old has decided to cut back on his schedule to spend more time with his family and it has already paid dividends.
As well as a decent run at the Match Play the American has played in two strokeplay events and finished twice on both occasions. His putting tip for Tiger also played its part in his Ryder Cup partner’s victory at Doral.
This will be his 13th trip down Magnolia Lane, his best effort a tie for 6th in 2009.

If you’re looking for a solid each-way performer then Dufner might be your man Jason Dufner
Dufner is 36, has played in just two Masters yet will be one of those most fancied. In his last nine Majors the American has three top-1- finishes and came closest when Keegan Bradley pipped him in a play-off at the 2011 PGA.
If you’re looking for a solid each-way performer then Dufner might be your man. Last year he shared the second-round lead (with Fred Couples) before slipping away to 24th over the weekend. Won twice on the PGA Tour last season.

Mark Townsend
Been watching and playing golf since the early 80s and generally still stuck in this period. Huge fan of all things Robert Rock, less so white belts. Handicap of 8, fragile mind and short game
