Under Armour have already revolutionised golf apparel with performance polyester that moved sweat from the inside of the shirt to the outside. Now they have gone one better and invented dark material that reflects heat.

Their ColdBlack technology works by blocking 60 per cent of the suns UV rays, which then reduces heat build up of the fabric leading to a significant reduction in body temperature.

Under Armour’s tests have shown that the Coldblack shirt keeps the body temperature an average of nine degrees Fahrenheit cooler than standard shirts when outside temperatures reach 20 degrees, this resulted is 58 per cent less perspiration.

The shirts also offer a minimum of UPF 30 protection and is available in black and grey.

It will retail at £45 and is already being worn by European Tour stars, such as Richie
Ramsay (pictured), who is a ColdBlack ambassador.

The Catalyst range is for players who are eco conscious and is made from only four plastic bottles They have also launched a further two lines. The Charged Cotton range that offers
a shirt compromised of 95% Extra Soft Peruvian Pima Cotton and 5% Elastane for
performance and recovery of shape.

This creates a push/pull effect that transports moisture from the inside of the shirt to
the outside – the result is the world’s first performance cotton golf shirt that dries 5
times faster than standard cotton. Charged cotton is available in 6 colours, retailing
from £45.

The Catalyst range is for players who are eco conscious and is made from only four
recycled plastic bottles. They managed this by cleaning them, crushing them into tiny
strands, heating together and then cooling them down to produce a revolutionary shirt known as Catalyst.

This shirt gives golfers four way stretch movement that limits abrasion in key impact
zones leaving golfers to swing freely, with total confidence and has exceptional moisture transport and UV protection. This eco shirt is available in green, black, blue and purple and retails at £35.
